Show Notes
The Webcams looking into the crater at Kilauea can be found at the USGS Hawaiian Volcano Obervatory Site.
On the topic of blogging on peer-reviewed research, Chris Rowan’s (of Highly Allochthounous) article “Bloggers and blogging in Nature Geoscience” and Kim Hannula’s (of All My Faults Are Stress Related) “Is it unethical to blog about peer-reviewed research?” are good places to start if you’re interested in the controversy.
Kim Hannula has another article entitled “Job-hunting Suggestions“, which Ron mentions during the show.

ahm…I am getting error 404 (file does not exist) for the mp3 download link…
Sorry. The file name had a capital letter in it. It’s fixed now, give it a download.
I just listened to it and wanted to say you guys did a great job, especially for your first podclast!
Nice work, guys!
I totally agree – nice work indeed and a good start!
I finally downloaded it – nice job!
Hi Chris – great job. I’d be interested in participating in the future if the timing works out.
Christie
You need a PodClast logo me thinks
Chris (and Ron) … I finally downloaded the podclast … nice work. I think it worked great for a first episode. When you are getting ready for #2, send out an announcement of the gear and software needed again to participate.
ReBecca: I did a logo, and it should be in the iTunes store, but Apple seems to be ignoring it. I’ve included it below and I’m open to any alternative submissions, because it’s a bit crap
Nice work on the PodClast, it kept me entertained in the lab this morning. I’ll echo Brian’s suggestion about sending out a “shopping list” for interested parties.
Thermochronic: I’ve just written a page as suggested. it can be found here:

When is the next show
I am eagerly looking forward to it
